The construction of the Formula One race track for the Grand Prix in Vietnam was officially launched on the 20th of March with a ceremony in Hanoi.
Motorsport King Class 1 celebrates its race premieres in Vietnam in April 2020. The contract with the new organiser is valid for several years.
For the construction start of the line designed by the German company Tilke Engineers & Architects, Jean Todt, the president of the FIA Motorsport World Association, performed the first spade stroke.
Todt said, In view of the lack of FIA races in Vietnam, he was surprised by the country’s willingness to now hold a Grand Prix. But I believed in the success of the F1 race in Hanoi,”he added.
Dangers will be on a city course in Hanoi. It is the first new track to be included in the race calendar under the leadership of the U.S. owners Liberty Media. The course will be at 5565 kilometers with 22 curves.
The route will be built around the My Dinh national stadium in Hanois district Tu Liem. After Monaco, Azerbaijan’s capital Baku and Singapore, it is the fourth city course on which formula 1 will run.
