Corona virus: BVB shuts down its fans

Borussia Dortmund is taking extensive measures because of the raging Corona virus. The fans of the BVB are particularly affected.

As the club announced on Monday evening, the professionals and the coach team around Chief Coach Lucien Favre are no longer available for selfies. Also, there will be no more public training units in Dortmund “until the Corona virus is contained in its entirety” for the “protection of other training visitors”, as stated in the Black Yellow Communication.

“We ask for understanding for this decision, from which we hope to reduce the risk of infection,”said Sports Director Michael Zorc.

The BVB stands in exchange for the measures taken with the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin, the Federal Authority of Infectious Diseases.

Previously FC Bayern Munich had also put selfies and autographs on the index because of “Covid-19”. Public training units had been excluded by the record champion but not in principle.

BVB allegedly threatens “ghost games” in the Champions League

In Germany more than 150 cases of Corona virus have already been confirmed, 86 of them in North Rhine-Westphalia. The game in the Bundesliga is not affected by the new disease.

However, the BVB in the Champions League may be threatened with a “ghost game”. UEFA is thinking about having Dortmund’s eighth-final rematch played at Paris Saint-Germain without spectators, reported “Le Parisien”.

At first there were even rumors, The game could be cancelled completely because of the Corona virus.

The Italian series A was already affected by numerous game failures. In Switzerland, the entire operation of the first and second leagues was suspended until April.
