FIA warns Racing Point of Strolls Corona infection

The World Motor Association FIA announced a warning against the Formula One team Racing Point.

The racing stable had not released the Corona infection of its driver Lance Stroll at the Eifel Grand Prix on the Nurburgring in time and thus violated the official COVID protocol of Formula 1. It wasn’t until Wednesday that Stroll became known to be sick of Corona.

Nico Hullkenberg had jumped for Stroll on the Nurburgring, he was in the race eight. For the 33-year-old, it was the third race point in the current season.

Prior to the two races in Silverstone, he represented the Mexican Sergio Perez who was also infected with the Coronavirus.

Also in Portugal, Hilkenberg is part of the racing point team, the confirmed team leader Otmar Szafnauer in a video conference.

It was only a precaution, however, Szafnauer said he was confident Stroll would be in the car.

Hullkenberg is still without formula-1 cockpit for the coming season, However, his chances may have increased due to the current situation in the Haas team.

The U.S. racing stable announced on Thursday in Portugal the separation from its two drivers Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen at the end of the season.
