After the TV whirlwind around Dieter Hecking, TV expert Ewald Lienen has also settled the dispute with his trainer colleague.
“We have discussed and cleared up everything,” the “Bild” newspaper assured Lienen. Borussia Monk’s head coach Hecking had interrupted an interview with “Sky” angered and later called his discontent about Lien’s statements at “Sky” as the trigger for it.
“Dieter only got a small extract from my analysis and this part angered him”, Said Lienen.
The 65-year-old former Gladbach professional had spoken in the TV studio of a disappointing performance of Borussia at 1:1 against Werder Bremen. This was what Hecking had heard before his interview and, according to his own statement, felt as “absolutely inappropriate.” One day later, Hecking said, “We cleared it up on the phone, and that’s how it was eaten.” The 54-year-old coach has to leave Borussia on the end of the season. The club plans for the future without hedging. His successor will be Marco Rose of Red Bull Salzburg.
