FC Schalke 04 has apparently entered the poker game for Rabbi Matondo of Manchester City in search of reinforcements. Also the Bundesliga competitors Borussia Munich, FC Bavaria Munich and Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in the 18-year offensive talent.
The royal flowers are “pictured” in advanced talks with Matondo. City, however, is proving to be a tough negotiator. A first offer from Schalke is said to have been rejected by team manager Pep Guardiola.
The Spanish star trainer keeps large pieces on the arrow-fast wingman, who is even supposed to have speeds with players like Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.
Guardiola wants to help Matondo make his debut with the professionals in the near future after strong achievements in the U23 team of the Sky Blues.
The Youngster for Schalke should not be cheap. Since FC Bavaria recently offered Matondo around 11,3 million euros, according to “Sun”, and BVB and Gladbach as well as RB Leipzig and 1899 Hoffenheim should also have it on the card.
The contract of the Welsh young national player in Manchester is still up to 2020. However, his future with the English Master should be open after the broken contracts.
