No Corona case in test series before formula-1 restart

The Corona test series in Formula 1 before the season air strike in Austria has remained without positive results.

According to the race series, drivers, team members and other employees were tested for infections with the Coronavirus in Spielberg 4032 the week before the Grand Prix. None of these people were tested positively,”said Formula 1.

The test series ranged from the 26th of June to the 2nd of July, the day before the first training sessions of the new season. The formula 1 wants to announce the results of the regular Corona tests to all participants on a weekly basis.

For their restart, the Motorsport Royal class has adopted a strict hygiene concept. In addition to the obligation to wear masks, this also provides for the strict division of the participants into groups which must not have contact with each other. For the time being, spectators are not allowed in the races. All persons with access to the race track must undergo a Corona test at least every five days.

The original season start of Formula 1 in Australia had been cancelled in the middle of March due to a Corona case with an employee of the McLaren team. After that, nine more Grand Prix had to be cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic. In Austria, Formula One now wants to start the World Cup year and to run at least 15 races until mid-December.
