The expectations for new access Leroy Sane are huge at FC Bavaria. The former Munich Lukas Podolski also considers the 24-year-old wingman to be an outstanding player, but still sees a need for improvement.
“Bavaria FC gets the best players and Sane is a great player,” Podolski praised his former employer at “Sky” for the transfer. However, the 35-year-old emphasised that Sane still had “potential to rise.”
“He has not reached the top level yet,” Podolski, who plays for Antalyaspor in Turkey, continued. Sane simply lacks experience.” He still needs a few more seasons, the national team, a European championship and another World Cup,”said the former Bavarian pro.
Sane recently converted to FC Bavaria for around 50 million euros from Manchester City. The national player has signed a working paper up to 2025 on Sabena Street.
However, the information on the salary varies quite widely. Until recently, it had been said that the Munich people would be able to enjoy the services of the former switchboard about 17 million euros per season.
As a report by “The Athletic” shows, the actual salary payments should be clearly above that. The portal is based on sources close to Manchester City, which claim that the Bavarians even transfer 22 million euros a year to Sane.
Hansi Flick “does a hot job” at FC Bavaria
In the “Sky” interview Podolski also commented on Bavarian coach Hansi Flick. This one does “a cool job”, praised the World Champion of 2014. The new itinerary to give young players trust and play practice is ideal. “The new itinerary I think what Bavaria is building there with young players is exactly right,”says Podolski.
Since Flick took over the helm in Munich, the team works again:”They are running for each other. You can see that there is a working team in place.”
