Former Bundesliga pro Willy Sagnol fears, following the French government’s decision not to let any games take place until September, a collapse of the international football system.
“The UEFA clubs have all held together, they have fought for a unified system. If football is not played for another two months, there may soon be no system at all,”said the former French national player in an interview with”Sport1”.
Additionally, the 43-year-old believes that”the virus and the health situation will change the football a little. Perhaps he will return as he did twenty years ago and will no longer be as commercial as he has been until now. Then there is more than just business.”
The French government had announced on Tuesday that the current season could not be resumed until at least September.
