The Netherlands sees itself “still some time” at BVB

Celebrated in Dortmund, in Norway maybe at the bank: Youngster Erling Haaland does not receive a starter elf guarantee in the national team despite his outstanding round back at the BVB.

“We have three stormers who have performed very well. We will see who is playing,”said National Coach Lars Lagerback before the National League meetings on Friday against Austria and Monday in Northern Ireland.

The Hague has only won two country games for Norway and has not yet scored a goal. In the attack of the Scandinavians, he has strong competition in Joshua King (AFC Bournemouth) and Alexander Sorloth (Trabzonspor), the latest goalkeeper in Turkey.

“All three are in the same situation. This is a decision that we must make on the basis of our opponents and priorities in our game. It is about balancing the team properly,”said Lagerback. He is “very grateful” for this luxury problem.

The Hague was promptly asked at the press conference before the Austrian game what position he would see himself in if all three attackers were playing. Say wings,”Lagerback whispered to him from the side. The Hague responded with a smile: “Me on the wing?”

The 20-year-old also betrayed to have looked at all his goals of the season in the summer and all the opportunities. His first thought was that he “should have shot more goals”, he said afterwards.

Haaland had come to the BVB during the winter break and scored 16 goals in 18 compulsory games. He sees himself “still some time” at the BVB, says the Goalgetter.
