In Malmo, Denmark won in the lead game against Montenegro with 22:21 (14:11) and is thus considered a favorite in Group C. Already two hours earlier, the Czech Republic had defeated Hungary surprisingly with 27:22 (13:10).
On Tuesday, the selection of the German Handball Association will receive the Olympic Second France (20:45 o’clock). The winner will surely enter the main round in Gothenburg.
