Uwe Seeler successfully operated after the fall

Great concern for Uwe Seeler: The Hamburg SV and several football sizes of the country are pressing their thumbs for a quick recovery after a heavy fall. As the HSV confirmed, the 83-year-old honorary leader of the German national te am had to undergo an operation on Friday.

“The Hamburg SV is with Uwe Seeler with his thoughts in these hours,” it says in a club statement. He had “fallen hard in his house in Norderstedt and broke his hip, among other things”. On Friday evening, “Hamburger Morgenpost”, “Hamburger Abendblat” and the “Image” reported in agreement that Seeler had survived the operation well.

Friends and companions had previously responded to Seeler’s accident.” I have known Uwe for so many years now, and I hope it will not be so bad or so bad,”Uli Stein told SID in a first reaction. You know how dangerous operations at an older age are: “I’m pressing his thumbs, of course, wishing him a good recovery and that he’ll be back in shape.”

FC Bayern sends his wishes for recovery

His former teammate Horst Schnoor said the “Hamburger Morgenpost” he was “totally shocked” by the news. “Uwe is hard at taking, he has already survived a lot,” said Schnoor: “He has fallen several times in the past.”

Bavarian Munich’s coach Hansi Flick also sent best wishes for recovery in the high north: “He is one of the greatest stormers Germany has ever had, an absolute personality. I wish him all the best, all the best and hope that he will soon be fit again.”

Seeler, Vice World Champion of 1966, has had to contend with health problems again and again in recent years. Among other things, creating the consequences of a car accident in 2010 makes him suffer back problems. 2017 Seeler was successfully used as a pacemaker.
