VfB-Star Didavi about the “screwed up” season start

After the seemingly bad start of the season with the Cup-Off (0:2 in Rostock) and the defeats against Mainz 05 (0:1) and FC Bavaria Munich (0:3), middleweight player Daniel Didavi from the German football league VfB Stuttgart has shown himself to be insightful. We blew it. We need to be aware of this and also analyse it,”said the Stuttgart asset post returned from VfL Wolfsburg in a conversation at the”Southwest German Broadcasting”.

The 28-year-old was replaced in both previous league goals in the second half, but could no longer give his elf the necessary impetus in the offensive game. The Swabians lacked the necessary creativity and drive in the series of attacks. As a result, they are still waiting for the first meeting of the season.

The VfB spent most of the time with the entire team in its own half trying to limit the damage. A tactic for which chief trainer Tayfun Korkut was sharply criticized in the aftermath.

Didavi: “It’s amazing how quickly you forget”

Didavi himself defended his coach: “The team that was there last year deserves it, Korkut played an outstanding last Bundesliga round in the country and showed with his team after the Bavarians the best balance sheet of all first-time players.

Now to question the coach is not an option for Didavi: “Criticism is always good and also justified, But it always has to have a level. Tayfun Korkut came here, what he did with the team in the back round was incredible.”

Concerning the partly exhausting criticism of the VfB trainer in the social networks, Didavi continued:”It’s amazing how quickly you forget.”
