Williams wants to forget Debakel season with a new look

The Williams team opened Monday morning the second Launch Week”of formula 1 2020. Even before Racing Point presented his new car in the Austrian Moon Lake in the afternoon, Williams published the first photos of the FW43. Thus, in the coming season, George Russell and Formula One newcomer Nicholas Latifi will go on a scoring hunt.

Williams’so-called Corporate Identity (CI) remains basically unchanged compared to 2019. The team continues to rely on a blue-and-white color scheme with a little more red for the title sponsor RoKit, a telecommunication company.

Otherwise, compared to late 2019, the most unsuccessful season in the history of the traditional season, little has changed. Claire Williams, the daughter of team leader Frank Williams, continues to run the business. Dave Worner, formerly responsible for the use of synergies between Red Bull and Toro Rosso, comes as chief designer. And Jonathan Carter will be his deputy and head of vehicle design. Carter has recently been head of the Carbon Compound Design Department at Renault.

Williams is one of the most successful races in the history of Formula 1 with nine designer and seven driver championships. However, the great successes are long ago: 1997, Jacques Villeneuve won the last World Championship, 2012 in Barcelona Pastor Maldonado the last Grand Prix victory so far.

2019 was the worst Williams season of all time with a single WM point. Robert Kubica was in tenth place at the Chaos Rain Race in Hockenheim. 2018 had also won the tenth and final place (with seven points). Before that, the team was twice third (2014/15) and twice fifth in the designer-WM (2016/17).
